Dad jailed for abusing 7-month-old daughter (Lake Havasu, Nevada)

Dad HOWARD IRVIN PEACH has been jailed for "allegedly" dropping and shaking his 7-month-old daughter. The baby was having seizures by the time the sheriff's deputies arrived. She has been hospitalized in critical condition.

Father jailed for abusing infant daughter

A Lake Havasu man is behind bars for allegedly dropping and shaking his infant daughter, authorities said.

Sheriff's deputies were called Friday to a home in the 100 block of Colony Road, where a 7-month-old girl was having a seizure. Doctors told detectives that the girl appeared to have been physically abused.

She is listed in critical condition at a Las Vegas hospital and is scheduled for surgery to alleviate bleeding in her brain.

Howard Irvin Peach, 21, was booked at West valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of child abuse. Bail was set at $100,000.
