Mother doused with gasoline when she asks for child support (Indianapolis, Indiana)

Why does the media treat this incident as an "argument" or a "dispute"--as little more than a tiff or a joke? Had this women been exposed--even accidentally--to a spark or open flame, she could have been severely burned or killed. But in a father's rights state like Indiana, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that UNNAMED DAD hasn't been arrested.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police are investigating whether or not a child support argument between a mother and father went too far.

The alleged incident occurred at the Shell Gas station in the 7200 block of North Michigan Road at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The mother told police she was asking her children’s father for child support while he was pumping gas when he got angry and pulled the pump from the tank, pointed it at her and sprayed her with gasoline.

The police report states their children saw the incident unfold while sitting in a nearby car.

So far, no one has been arrested.
