WINNIPEG — A Winnipeg father has been accused of repeatedly confining, raping and making pornography with his two young daughters — one of whom is physically disabled — for more than seven years.

Police and justice officials say the allegations are among the worst they've seen.

The 47-year-old suspect — who can't be named to protect the identity of the children — was arrested late last month and is being held without bail.

Police have not released any details about the case because their investigation is continuing and more charges are possible. However, the Winnipeg Free Press obtained court documents on Thursday that outline the allegations.

The man is facing a total of 20 charges including incest, sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, anal intercourse and making and possessing child pornography in both picture and video form.

None of the offences has been proven and he is presumed innocent.

A justice source told the Free Press the investigation began when one of the alleged victims walked into a police station last month seeking help. She then outlined a series of incidents which allegedly occurred between 2002 and 2009 involving her and her sister.

Both victims were under the age of 14 throughout the time period, according to court documents.

Police executed a search warrant in late September and seized a number of items, including electronic equipment.

The man's next scheduled court appearance is Nov. 7.
