Dad with history of violence abducts sick 20-month-old daughter during SUPERVISED visitation (Harris County, Texas)

This is why supervised visitation--with few exceptions--totally sucks and is a bad idea.

Dad GREGORY VINCENT DANIELS has a "history of violence" which is not explained in any detail here. But he was granted "supervised visitation" anyway, because daddies must have their rights.

Meanwhile, why is a 20-month-old baby with an upper respiratory infection, a double ear infection, pink eye, and a severe cough being dragged to Chuck E. Cheese's for "supervised" visitation with her criminal father? Why isn't she at home, in bed, and in the care of her mother? Oh right. Because this was court-ordered, and daddies must have their rights (see above). Sick kids don't have the right to stay home and sleep. Moms don't have the right to take care of their children as they see fit. Nope, the courts know better, and what they know always coincides with what Daddy demands. Such a surprise.

So whadya know. Apparently the "supervisor" fell asleep at the wheel--or s/he was a friend of Daddy's--because Daddy absconded with the sick baby. I don't suppose he'll be stopping at a pharmacy for a refill on her prescriptions now, do you? Think he'll be running a vaporizor for her or making her chicken soup? Only in your dreams....

AMBER ALERT: Ailing toddler believed taken by father with violent history 2 comments

The Harris County District Attorney's Office has issued an Amber Alert for missing 20-month-old, Savannah Scheideler who was believed to be taken by her biological father Sunday from a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in Humble.

The child is white, is 33 inches tall, weighs 27 pounds and has dark red hair that is shoulder length and straight on the top and curly on the bottom. She is very sick and has pink-eye in both eyes, an ear infection in both ears, an upper respiratory infection and severe cough. Savannah was last seen wearing a blue, plaid long sleeve shirt with a pocket on the left front side that has a studded silver heart on it, blue jeans and black strap shoes. She has one gold earring in the left ear and is missing the right one. She has a bruise on the right side of her forehead, a small scratch on her chin and crescent moon scar on the back of her left shoulder and a brown spot birth mark on the left side of her rib cage.

She was last seen with a pink princess blanket. Anyone with information regarding the child or suspect is asked to call the Houston FBI field office at 713-693-5000.

The suspect is 31-year old, black male, Gregory Vincent Daniels, DOB 09/24/80. He was last seen at the Chuck E. Cheese carrying the abducted child into the back seat of a dark or black 4-door sedan with a rear spoiler, possibly a Ford Taurus, being driven by an unknown party. Daniels is 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with a light complexion, bald head and unshaven face. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white dress shirt. He has a history of violence and is currently in violation of a temporary restraining order, and, while he is the biological father, has not been granted any type of custody, only limited, supervised visitation.

He is known to have a friend in the Spring, Texas area.

No photos of the suspect or the child were immediately available.
