Dad charged with providing porn to son (Oak Creek, Wisconsin)

Can't help but wonder if this was a single or custodial dad. Otherwise, Mom probably would have known about the porn (and been charged as well). At any rate, there is no mention of a mother in this home at all.

Oak Creek man charged with providing porn to son

OAK CREEK, Wis. - An man from Oak Creek has been charged with multiple counts of exposing his son to pornography over the course of several years.

The criminal complaint outlines 12 charges of exposing a child to harmful material.

According to the complaint, the man began giving his son pornographic DVDs as early as "fifth or sixth grade." The child said his father started by explaining the "birds and the bees," but that the conversations gradually became more graphic.

The child told police that he was given five to 10 pornographic videos on DVD each week, and that his father would then want to discuss the videos with him.

The child told investigators that he "watched about 100 movies" during the period outlined in the complaint.

The man told police that had purposely put pornographic movies in his son's room "to be nice." He told investigators that he new providing pornographic movies to his son was wrong, but he was just trying to be a good dad.

Felony charges of exposing a child to harmful material carries a fine of up to $10,000 and up to three years and six months in prison.

Due to the nature of this case we are not identifying the man charged nor the age of the victim.
