Dad arrested for swing knife at mom while he's holding 2-year-old child; media calls it a "domestic dispute" (Plainview, Texas)

The usual misleading attempts by the media to appear "neutral." But in reality, this simply shifts resposibility away from the criminal perpetrator.

This was no "domestic dispute." There was nothing mutual about this, going by the account below. It is not reported that Mom had a weapon. Only Daddy did. Only Daddy was charged with aggravated assault.

Why do we get so wishy washy when it comes to domestic violence? If some thug attacked the owner of a convenience store with a knife, would we call it a "retail dispute"?

Dad is identified as FABIAN ZAMBRANO.

A man who allegedly held his baby in one hand while swinging a knife at the 2-year-old’s mother was arrested late Wednesday afternoon following a domestic dispute at Clearview Apartments.

Fabian Zambrano, 20, was charged with aggravated assault endangering a child.

The toddler was whisked to safety by Plainview Police Department officers and checked by emergency personnel outside the 2105 E. Fifth St. residence.

“The baby’s OK,” one first responder told the Herald, declining to give his name.

Authorities said Zambrano was pointing a knife and swinging it at the mother with one hand, and holding the child with the other.

The baby was released into the care of his mother following the incident, police said.

Concerned residents seen outside the apartment complex watched as emergency personnel converged upon the area. .
