Dad, on probation for assaulting 11-year-old son, now arrested for beating boy with baseball bat (Foristell, Missouri)

Dad MARK ALAN CALONI was previously convicted of assault back in 2005, Same child. But Daddy must have his rights and all. And kids apparently have none.

Notice that this boy escaped to a neighbor's house. And that there is no mention of a mother. Is there no mother in this home?

Mark Alan Calloni of Foristell is charged with child abuse.

FORISTELL • A man on probation for assaulting his son has been charged with harming the child again — this time with a baseball bat, police say.

Mark Alan Calloni, 46, of the 100 block of South Main Street was charged Monday with child abuse.

According to police, Calloni attacked his 11-year-old for unknown reasons about 11:15 p.m. Friday. Calloni struck his son multiple times in the head with a wooden bat, then tackled the boy and pinned him to the ground when the boy tried to flee.

The boy eventually was able to get away and ran to a neighbor's house, where he contacted authorities. The boy was treated at a hospital and released.

Calloni was in the St. Charles County Jail Monday in lieu of $100,000 cash-only bail.

In the earlier incident, which happened in 2005, Calloni pleaded guilty to domestic assault, endangering the welfare of a child and felonious restraint. Then Circuit Judge Keith Sutherland gave Calloni a suspended sentence and placed him on five years probation.
