Boys Killed in Murder-Suicide Laid to Rest in Reno

The two young boys killed during what their mother says was a murder-suicide last weekend in Reno, were laid to rest at a private ceremony on Monday morning.

The ceremony was held at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery.

The internment comes two days after a public funeral was held at South Reno Baptist Church. About 800 people attended that event while another 1,200 watched online. The next day, up to 350 people attended a candlelight vigil.

Police identified seven-year-old Jacob and two-year-old Austin who their mother, Ashley Deane, says were killed by their father, 36-year-old Rob Deane inside their northwest Reno home, while the children's mother, was away. Friends have set up a Facebook called Friends of Ashley Deane to help her with expenses.
